Billy Monroe Rucker of Odessa, age 60, passed from this life on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Hospice House. He was born November 15, 1950 on Crane, TX to A.C. and Neida Mae Rucker and grew up in McCamey, TX. He married Becky Thompson May 22, 1982 blending two families into one and raising five children together. Billy was a loving and caring husband & father who never lacked a quick witted and often politically incorrect response. Billy loved to go fishing and camping with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Rucker.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Becky Rucker; brother Jerry Rucker and wife Judy of Longview, TX; children, Jennifer Stockton and husband Jay of Odessa; Billy Rucker of Eastland, TX; Angela Fox and husband Leroy of Newport, TN; Jimmy Thompson of Tyler, TX; Danny Rucker and wife, Jennifer of Odessa. 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home in Odessa. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Pecan Cemetery near Dublin, TX.
