Notice has been received of the death last Wednesday of H.C. Baker, 86, at the home of his son, J.S. Baker, four miles out on Richmond Road, after a short illness caused by paralysis. The funeral occurred last Thursday afternoon, with interment at Red Lick. Decedent is survived by his wife, and by five sons, H.C. Jr., Edwin, J.S., B.F., and C.R.; also by four brothers. Mr. Baker came here two weeks ago from Joplin, being on a tour visiting his sons. He was a native of Licking County, Ohio. (Daily Texarkanian, 10/20/1917) Obit provided by Ray Baker.
