Service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 Pm at Sullivan Funeral home Chapel, officiating will be Dr. Derrell Monday and Gib Baskerville. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Ella was born Tuesday January 20, 1920 in Grandfield, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late E.E. Dardis and the late Mattie Hudelson Dardis. She married Marion Gruhlkey on December 23, 1946 in Vernon, TX. He preceded her in death March 14, 2009. She had lived in Vernon since 1928. She worked for USDA Vernon office for 50 years administrator for Federal Farm Program for Wilbarger Co. farmers. She also served on a Washington D.C. Task Force representing Texas on a feed grain program. She taught office skills course in College Station for the USDA.
She was a member of National Association Retired Federal Employees, Oklaunion Ex-Student association as secretary and she helped establish the Oklaunion Ex-Student Scholarship fund at Vernon College. Volunteer at Boys & Girls Club in sewing. Former member Oklaunion Baptist Church she was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
