Tilman Traylor was born 4 November 1796 in Oglethorpe, GA, the son of Edward and Annie Banks Traylor. On 7 Feb. 1828 he married Lucy Walker in Oglethorpe, GA. He is shown in United States Federal Census living in Oglethorpe, Georgia in 1830 and by 1850 in the Western Division, Monroe, Mississippi but by 1860 they were living in Grey Rock, Titus, Texas where they continued at least through the 1880 census. Tilman and Lucy had 13 children between them.
