Funeral services for Dudley R. Young, Overton, will be held at Cottle~Pearson Funeral Home, Overton at 2 pm on Monday, May 4, 2015, with Reverend Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at the Overton City Cemetery.

Mr. Young died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Tyler at the age of 76 years.

He was born March 22, 1939, in Rusk County to his late parents, M. Pete Young and Pauline Gill Young.

Mr. Young worked and retired from Kelly Springfield as a tire builder.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janice Null Young and a brother Robert Young.

Mr. Young is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Sue Young, Longview; step daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Doug Dooley, Friendswood, Texas, a step son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Trish Null, Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren Wesley Dooley, Brice Dooley and Camryn Dooley, Friendswood, Amber and J.C. Brooks, Rockdale and Megan and Cyler Brantley, Milano, Laramie Null, Beckville and Jolie Null, Beckville; four great grandchildren; special friends Mike and Jimmie Piercy, Overton and Elsie Hollis, Overton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Gene Brown, Eddie Calicutt, Bobby Pearson, Danny Cook, Tony Chiles, and Jerry Clark. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Vernon.
