Jesse Franklin Welch passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009, in Tyler.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1921, in Pollock, Angelina Co. TX to the late Lonnie and Fronie Elizabeth McCann Welch. He was a boiler maker for Chicago Bridge and Iron. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and in Korea as a member of the 101st Air Borne Division. He was a member of Tyler Gospel Chapel
He was preceded in death by brothers, E.L. Welch and John William Welch, and sister, Myrtle Ruth Welch
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy Welch of Tyler; sons, Clifford Welch of Lamesa, Jimmy Welch of Sterling, Ill., and Danny Welch of Tyler; daughters, Diana Martin of Roanoke, Va., Connie Kautza of Wausau, Wis., and Elisabeth Ortiz of Tyler; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
