Graveside services with military honors and Masonic graveside rites for Leon "Le" Grosdidier, 80, Bullard, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, in Overton City Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Barron officiating under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Bullard Southern Baptist Church.

Le went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 21, 1930, in Corsicana to the late Jesse and Ola Ware Grosdidier. Le had been a resident of the Bullard area for the past 12 years.

Le was a Navy "FMF" hospital corpsman during the Korean War. He held a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, and master's degrees from Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at El Paso.

Le was a former high school biology teacher for Coronado High School, El Paso, and had served with the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board in Lubbock. He was also an agricultural extension agent in Briscoe County, and most recently was the manager of Still Point Farm, Bullard.

He was a member of Bullard Masonic Lodge No. 785 and had also been a member of the Scottish Rite in El Paso.

Le was a member and deacon at Bullard Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Bishop Grosdidier, Bullard; sons, René Grosdidier, Orange Park, Fla., and Dené Grosdidier, Longview; daughter, Denise Mitchell, Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Vicki Grosdidier, North Hollywood, Calif.; brother, Glen Grosdidier, Bryan; 11 special grandchildren; and eight precious great-grandchildren.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, 75701.
