OVERTON - Services for Clemmie I. Kitchings, 83, Overton, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton, with the Rev. Mike Rice officiating.

Burial will be in Overton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Kitchings died May 30, 2007, in an Overton nursing home.

She was born March 1, 1924, in Arp to the late John Henry and Mary Maud Pannell Moore. She graduated from Salem High School, Smith County near Arp, and lived in Overton since 1963. She worked in the Overton Independent School District cafeteria for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Overton, where she taught Sunday school and served on Hostess Committee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Williams Kitchings, on April 6, 1998, and brother, Melton Moore.

Survivors include son, Bill Kitchings, Overton; daughters, Lynette Lawrence, Henderson, and Kathy ReneƩ Silvertooth, White Oak; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
