OVERTON - Graveside services for Troy Bell Bennett, 85, of Overton, formerly of Alto, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Overton City Cemetery, with Dale Grandstaff officiating. Arrangements are by Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home of Overton. Mr. Bennett died September 16, 2007, at his residence.

Born October 26, 1921, in Sabine County, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, cattle rancher and retired pumper from Chevron Oil Co. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Faye Stephens Bennett; sons, Curry McClure and Eddie Felkner; brothers, Carroll Bennett Jr. and Truitt Bennett; and sister, Vera Rhodes.

OVERTON - Services for Katherine Faye Stephens Bennett, 86, of Overton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel of Overton, with Danny King officiating. Interment will be in Overton City Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett died October 4, 2007, at her residence.

Born November 14, 1920, in Van Zandt County, she was a retired production clerk from Gulf/Chevron Oil Co. and a Methodist. Survivors include her sons, Curry McClure and Eddie Felkner; brother, Glynn Stephens; and sister, Edith Stephens.
