Casualty of WWII, Richard was a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve ~ Service No. 1151230.
He was 24 and the son of William Ernest and Jane Mollett (nee Jackson) of Colchester, Essex, England.
Richard was born in Huddersfield West Yorkshire, England and died in Terrell, Texas {Kaufman County}, United States of America.
Inscription:
"And So He Passed Over.
A Valiant Young Heart.
His Spirit Lives On.'

His crash occurred at night just after takeoff four miles south of the airport. Mollett was only two days from graduation. He apparently became disoriented after takeoff. {T.K.}
