Funeral services for Arthur Ray Porter, 76, of Dublin will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Harrell Funeral Home chapel in Dublin.
Burial will follow in the Barbee Cemetery.

Porter died Tuesday, May 8, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Roscoe to Arthur Cleveland Porter and Allie Vernon Liles. He was a retired jeweler and stock farmer. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran of World War II.

Porter married Bernice Marie Wilson on May 31, 1947, in Stephenville.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Dennis Porter and wife Lerri of Dublin, Doyle Porter and wife Lisa of Abilene and Jim Porter and wife Ginger of Garland; three sisters, Judy Hawthorne and Freda Worthen, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Fay Lowery of Stephenville; one brother, Woodie Porter of Moore, Okla., 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Ann Porter, two brothers and one sister.

DUBLIN — Bernice Marie Porter, 77, died Sept. 28, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at Harrell Memorial Chapel in Dublin, with Rev. Kenneth Wilson officiating. Graveside will be in Barbee Cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

DUBLIN - Bernice Marie Porter, 76, a bookkeeper, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at her residence in Dublin.

Memorials: Cerebral Palsy Association.

Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Lerri Porter, Doyle and Lisa Porter and Jimmy and Ginger Porter; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
