Calvin Benjamin Wells, 64, of Palestine, Texas died July 3, 2012, at his residence. Burial at Fort Houston Cemetery is under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home. He was born on September 10, 1947, in Kirbyville, Texas to Columbus Calvin Newton Wells and Esther Wright Wells. Mr. Wells was a resident of Silsbee for most of his life until moving to Palestine in 2008. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a Justice of the Peace in Polk County. Mr. Wells was also served in the Army and was a general contractor. He is survived by wife, Charlotte Jean Wells; stepdaughter, Destiny Leann Gallion; stepson, Johnnie Lynn Davis, Jr.; daughter, Wendy Williams and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Sofia and Trevor Williams; sisters, Lena Parker, Clara Arnold, Mattie Locke, and Ruth White.
