George Charles (Charlie Brown) McDonald, 77, of Houston died Sunday, March 3, 2013.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1935 in Wichita Fall, TX to George E. and Susie Bell Elizabeth (Raines) McDonald.
On Oct. 28, 1960, he was married in Wichita Falls to Wilma Darlene Robertson.
In life, McDonald was a retired chemist from Baker Oil Company. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army and held positions on the Republican Task Force, Moose Lodge and the American Chemical Society.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde McDonald and Ed McDonald; and a sister, Bonnie Herdman.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Marc Joseph McDonald of Boerne, TX; two daughters, Sherri Lynne Meyer of Milpitas, Calif. and Charlotte Ann Jeffcoat of Huntsville, TX; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Wednesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. in the Harrell Memorial Chapel, Jim Clifton officiating, with burial in Barbee Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
