Clemmie Landes, 91, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, with Dean Bradley officiating.
Interment: Barbee Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Harrell Funeral Home.
Memorials: Can be made to the Barbee Cemetery Association.
Clemmie was born May 13, 1917, to Mr. James Madison Hammons and Mrs. Leatha Pearl Brown Hammons in the Edna Hill community in Erath County. She was united in marriage to Willie M. Landes on Feb. 24, 1937, in Stephenville, and to this union three children were born.
She was a homemaker and also worked many years for Duncan Rexall Drug. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 3, 1998.
Survivors: Her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and John Cowan; sons and daughters-in-law, Deryl and Joyce Landes and David and Eka Landes; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Zeva Laird, Muriel Vincent and Doris Harpool; and brother, Luther Hammons, who will miss her dearly.
