Rudell Jaggars Russell, 88, of Blanket, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Songbird Lodge Nursing Home in Brownwood, Texas.
She was born on June 15, 1924 in Carlton, Texas to John Amos Dew Jaggars and Chellie Cora Delle Lewis Jaggars.
She worked as a clerk for Lone Star Gas Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brownwood, Texas.
Mrs. Russell was united in marriage to Billy Ray Russell on August 1, 1942 in Stephenville, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Russell of Blanket; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Marshall Harris of Sequin, Texas; daughter, Vickie Holt of Irving, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Bill Branum of Roanoke, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 in the Barbee Cemetery with Rev. Ken Lunsford officiating. Harrell Funeral Home of Dublin is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Barbee Cemetery Association.
