Our beloved husband and father, Donald Lacy Bullock, passed from this earth to his heavenly home on November 7, 2014. He was born in New London on November 13, 1932, to Arthur and Jesse Mae Bullock. He grew up in New London and married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Shindler.
Don was a Korean war veteran and graduated from A & M. He worked for Gardner Denver for thirty years. He served two years as President of New London Museum and was a member and deacon of Colonial Hills Baptist Church of Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Bullock; brother Sam Bullock; sister Billie Mathews; daughters Donna and husband Rex Dorman of Kilgore, and Julie and husband Sam Billings of Dallas; grandsons Cody and wife Amber Nelson and Chase Billings; and great-grandchildren Kaden and Emma Lacy Nelson.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home of Tyler, with graveside service following at 12:00 PM at Overton Cemetery in Overton.
