Funeral services for Rex Frayer Adams, 64, a leading Electra businessman and area rancher who died Monday in Electra Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in first Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Ainsworth, pastor, officiating. Interment was under direction of James B Totten and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was born Jan. 25, 1916 in Meridian, Texas, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tillman C. Adams. He moved to Electra at the age of six and had resided here for the past 58 years.

Actively engaged in the cattle ranching industry, Mr. Adams was also the Texaco Agent for Wholesale Sales in the Electra area. He was a member of the Electra Baptist Church, Electra Rotary Club, Chuck Wagon Gang, and the Electra Riding Club.

Survivors include: his wife, Blanche of Electra; two sons, Herbie R Adams of Electra and Terry Adams of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Charletta Howard of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Melva Boulware of Farmington, N.M.; two brothers, Jack Adams of Little Rock, Ark,. and Cloyd Adams of Burkburnett, five grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Bobby Henry, Don Patton, Kyle Adams, Kurt Adams, and Ike Barker.

Blanche Adams, 85, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack T. Riley of Iowa Park, Texas officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Mrs. Adams was born January 12, 1919 in Yoakum, Texas. she and Rex Frazier Adams were married March 28, 1937 in Iowa Park, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Electra Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex; a son, Garlan Adams, a brother, Dean Bankhead, father, Thomas Bankhead and mother, Edna (West) Bankhead.

survivors include two sons, Herbie R. Adams of Electra and Terry Adams of Charlie, Texas; two sisters, Betty Culwell of Wichita Falls, Texas and Myrl Register of Wichita Falls, Texas, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Garland Adams, 17, were to be held Thursday at 4 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with Rev. W.G. Etheredge, pastor, and Rev. Don Youngblood, minister of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Electra Cemetery under the direction of James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home.

Garland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Adams, was critically injured in an automobile accident March 14 when he sustained multiple fractures and internal injuries. He died Monday afternoon in a Dallas hospital while undergoing surgery.

He was born June 5, 1947 in Electra and was a senior at Electra High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He had been hospitalized in a Wichita Falls hospital's intensive care unit until he was transferred to Dallas.

Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Terry Adams of Wichita Falls and Herbie Adams of Electra; and his grandmothers, Mrs. T.C. Adams of Electra and Mrs. Edna Bankhead of Wichita Falls._
