A former resident of Electra for a number of years, Mrs. John Henry Baker, 41, was fatally injured in a tractor accident at her home near Elizabeth, Ark. about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Baker, the former Beatrice Ray, daughter of the late Joe Ray and Mrs. Mary Ray, 623 Wilbarger, was born in Rockwall County, Texas, Sept. 1, 1921 and moved to Electra with her parents as a child. She married John Henry Baker on Aug. 27, 1938.

She spent several years in Argentina with her husband and moved back to Electra after he was injured in a pipeline construction project. They had been living in Arkansas for only three years.

The body was brought overland and arrived here at 2 a.m. this morning by Carter Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at three p.m. Friday from the Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Max Smiley officiating. Burial will be in the Electra Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Totten and son Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, a son, John Henry Biker, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Maryetta Lawrence of San Jose. Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Ray, four brothers, Jeff Ray of Salvador. Brazil, Earnest Jack and E W Ray of Electra, two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Springer of Electra and Mrs. E P. Martin of Wichita Falls and one grandson, Keith Cox of San Jose. Calif.; a number of nieces and nephews._
