Harvey Bentley, 79, passed away Thursday, march 16 at his home in Electra.
Services were held 3:30 p.m. Saturday from Totten-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Medley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Electra, officiating. Burial was in Electra Memorial Park.
Mr. Bentley was born November 8, 1915 in Forestburg, Texas and had been a resident of Electra for about 60 years. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Electra and was a World War II veteran. He and Christine Hale were married September 3, 1955 in Whitesboro, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Christine of Electra; one daughter and son in law, Sharon and Billy Beaver of Midland, Texas; one son, Mickey McKnight of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Lorine Wood of Sundown, Texas and Mildred Craker of Lone star, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany and David Boncaldo of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Brent and Stefanie Beaver of Lake Kiowa, Texas, and Brad and Preston McKnight of Durant, Oklahoma; and two great grandsons, Vince and Gannon Boncaldo of Tuscaloosa, Alabama._
