Funeral services for Capt. Cecil L. Blum were held Monday at the Totten Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Maff of Fort Sill and Rev. A. H. Logan, minister of the Electra Methodist Church officiating.

Capt. Blum died in Germany on Jan. 20 following a heart attack. He was born in Hillsboro and attended school in Holliday.

He came to Electra in 1945 as manager of the Texas Electric Service Company and resided here until he entered the Army during the Korean War. He married the former Dana Dale in 1947.

Survivors are his wife, Dana, one daughter, Clover Nell; a son, Cecil Clay; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Blum of Iowa Park; one brother, Haroldene Blum of Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Chester Baird of Houston; Mrs. Geo. Wood of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Gerald Walsh of Iowa Park.

Burial was in the Electra cemetery under the direction of Totten Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sgt Sweigers, Sgt. Lail, Sp4 Ennis, Pfc Dudderar. Pfc Turner, Pfc Leatherman, Pvt Cohald members of the 529th Signal Corps of Fort Sill, Okla.

The firing squad was composed of Sfc Grantham, Sp4 Triesler Sp4 Plew, Pfc Rosales, Sp4 Van Meter. Pfc Cogburn, Pfc McHugh, Pfc Cannon and Pfc Bangle, bugler, members of the 529th Signal Corps also from Fort Sill.

Capt Junior W. Stuber of Delaware escorted the body of Capt Blum to Electra._
