GLADEWATER - Services for Mark L. White, 64, of Gladewater, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, with the Rev. James Howard officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.

Born on June 24, 1944, in Gilmer, Texas, to Irving and Gladys Prater White, he died on Friday, May 22, 2009.

He was a welder by trade and a master musician. He played several instruments professionally, making his debut at sixteen on the Louisiana Hayride.

He was a former member of the Danville Masonic Lodge #101 and the Eagles Lodge in Gladewater.

He is survived by his companion, Nancy Wells of Marshall; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven M. and Hilliary White, Donald G. and Jennifer White, Ronald L. White and Brandon C. White and fiancee, Kaitlin Wilson, all of Gladewater; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and Jerry Beeson of Kilgore, Hayley White of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild to be born; his first wife, Brenda White, and her mother, Nita Robinson, both of Gladewater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clifford White and J.D. White; sisters, Imajean White, Mary Joe Stanley, Lillian White and Nadine White; aunts, Lena Burks, Thelma Threadgill; and one grandson, Ronald Lynn White Jr.
