Mary Evelyn Nicks Knowles passed away Saturday, May 11, 2018 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 76.
Mary was born October 10, 1941 in Avery, Texas to Jennings Leon and Edna Mae Askew Nicks. She was a secretary and clerk in the insurance industry. Mary was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Henry Joseph Knowles; and one brother, George Nicks.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, one nephew, one niece, and numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates officiating.
She was laid to rest by her husband on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Woodmen Cemetery.
