Linda Sue Vickers, 67, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Linda was born February 21, 1949 in Sinton, Texas to William and Katherine Douglas. She was raised in Sinton with her loving family and in 1969 married Walter D. Vickers in Calallen, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family and attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.

Linda loved and enjoyed spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren as well as helping others

Funeral services are scheduled at 10:30am on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at the Fair View Cemetery. The family will receive friends during the rosary and visitation beginning at 7pm on Friday, January 6 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Walter D. Vickers, daughter Katherine Putnam and husband James, daughter Melinda Carroll and husband Jeremy, and grandchildren including Andrew, Natalie, Jonathan, and Addisyn. Linda was also survived by her brother, Billy Douglas and wife Yvonne, brother Jack Douglas and Wife Roberta, and sister Margie and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Katherine Douglas, sister Mary Baker, and nephew Ken Feldhusen.
