When Jacob 'Jake' Barns was born on March 26, 1902, in Williamson, Texas, his father, JAKOB, was 60 and his mother, Mary, was 40. He married Nellie Ramsey (1906–1998) on August 16, 1924. He then married Geneva Irene Stacy and they had two children together. He died on June 20, 1970, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 68, and was buried in Fargo, Texas.
