James Edward Lovett passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his residence in Gainesville. He was born January 14, 1931 in Spanish Fork, Texas to Glenn Franklin and Mable (Lester) Lovett. He married Barbara Ann Brown on September 17, 1993 in Gainesville, Texas. James was employed for 30 plus years at National Supply as the Works Manager. He later worked at National Oil Well for four years. James served in the US Army, was a member of the Church of Christ and had been in Cooke County since 1955.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 13th at Hillcrest Church of Christ with David Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Ortowski, Cole Ortowski, Ronnie Ortowski, Chris Glass, Mike Davenport and Larry Davenport. Family visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12th at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville
Survivors include sons, Bobby Hutchinson of Bulcher and Kenny Hutchinson and wife Debbie of Lake Kiowa; daughter-in-law, Sonja Hutchinson of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Glendora and Gene Davenport of Gainesville; granddaughters, Krystal Ferguson, April Glass, Brooke Ortowski, Kayla Eggenberger, and Carlie Hutchinson and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mable Lovett; wife, Barbara Ann Lovett and great-grandchild, Claire Eggenberger.
