Funeral services for Bertha Lee Brasher, 86, of Seminole will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Westside Church of Christ with Bro. Ray Young and David Williams officiating. Private family interment will follow in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. She passed away Thursday, December 26th in Lubbock.
Bertha was born February 1, 1933 in Gladewater, Texas to Lloyd D. and Sarah Marthellen Fite Williams. Bertha and J.E. Brasher were married on November 12, 1948 in New London, Texas. He preceded her in death January 1, 1993. She was a homemaker, member of the Westside Church of Christ, member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Seminole Memorial Hospital, a member of the Iron Angels and enjoyed playing cards at Seminole Senior Citizen Center. Bertha was preceded in death by a grandson Jay Don Bell, two brothers and one sister.
Bertha is survived by one son Donald Brasher and wife Fran of Lubbock; two daughters Amie Bell and husband Philip of Vernon and Wanda Hughes and husband Greg of Seminole; one brother and two sisters; along with seven grandchildren – Andrea Sturdivant, Amie Little, Philip Bell, Brandon Bell, Nicole Nelson, Shanna Minica, and Jennifer Hughes, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Jay Don Bell Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1818 Texas Street, at Waggoner National Bank, Vernon, Texas 76384.
Family and friends visitation will be Sunday, December 29 th from 3:00 – 4:30 P.M. at the Ratliff Funeral Home in Seminole.
