SARAH ANN CARTER-MINTER was born on 31 March 1820 in Putnam County, Georgia to Thomas Carter (1780 - 1856) & Mary Allen.
Sarah married Joseph Thomas "Pappy" Minter on 16 December 1835 in Putnam County, Georgia, and they had 10 Children:
John Thomas Minter (1837-1866),
Ann Elizabeth Minter-Byrd (1839-1907),
William Hawkins Minter (1840-1817),
Joseph Morgan Minter (1842-1917),
Fannie Hill Minter-Simms (1846-1923),
Dorothy "Dollie" Brooks Minter-Stephens (1848-1920),
Robert Anthony Minter (1851-1908),
Sylvanus Oliver Minter (1854-1906),
Martha E. Minter-Denney (1858-1907), &
Agustus Harmon Minter (1861-1929).
Sarah migrated with her family to Texas from Georgia in 1855.
Sarah passed away on 20 March 1900 in Pine Forest, Hopkins County, Texas, and was buried in the Minter Family Plot at Pine Forest.
