Thelma Christine Turner, age 84, went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2008 in Converse, TX. She was born October 30, 1923 in Atoka, OK to the late Jessica (White) & Robert Dempsy Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton J. Turner, Sr. She is survived by her children, Pamela A. Deibert, Milton J. Turner, Jr. his wife Carol, Robert W. Turner, his wife Rose, Karen L. Herrera, her husband Theodore, John M. Turner, and wife Michelle; grandchildren, William M. Turner, Joseph C. Turner, Jeffrey S. Turner, Lisa M. Turner, Robert L. Turner, Robert W. Turner, Sandra A. Bryant, Brianne C. Herrera, Sarah K. Turner, Michael A. Turner; great-granddaughter, Alena D. Newland; sister, Ruth L. McKee, her husband Charles and numerous extended family members. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Selma), 16075 N Evans Rd., Selma, TX 78154. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VITAS Hospice in Thelma's memory. Sunset Funeral Home.
