Graveside services for Marta Garcia, age 89 of Brownfield, Texas will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with the family officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas.

Mrs. Garcia was born March 30, 1931 in Sinton, Texas to Elena (Mendiola) and Selso Valades. She married Pablo Garcia in Brownfield, Texas in November of 1974. She was a Christian and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing Mexican bingo, being outside, and gardening, but she especially loved her dog “Bear.” Her home was always an open door to anyone.

Marta Garcia passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Andrews, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pablo Garcia in 2003; three brothers, two sisters, and one daughter. She is survived by one son, Selso Trevino and wife Soyla of Brownfield, Texas; one daughter, Rosalinda Estrada of San Angelo, Texas; four step-sons, Joe Garcia and wife Lorena of Midland, Texas, Paul Garcia and wife Teresa of Amarillo, Texas, Ricky Garcia and wife Mona of Lubbock, Texas, and Tommy Garcia and wife Alicia of Gardendale, Texas; four step-daughters, Sandra Morin and husband Lupe of Brownfield, Texas, Mary Urteaga and husband Robert, Judy Hernandez and husband Steven, and Julie Serna and husband Oscar, all of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Felix Valades of California; one sister, Andrea Uballe of Seminole, Texas; 38 grandchildren; and blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
