SANTA FE — Mrs. Linda Sue Jackson Sainz passed from this life Friday morning, December 6, 2013, in LaMarque.
Born May 9, 1946 in Texas City, Mrs. Sainz had been a lifelong resident of Galveston County, working as a deputy sheriff for the Galveston County Sherriff’s Office for more than 20 years. Linda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Texas City, “Gotcha” Girls (Girls of Texas City High Alumni), enjoyed watching TV and she especially loved cats.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Earl Jackson; son, Brian Sainz and brother-in-law, Charles Shifflett.

Survivors include her mother, Winifred Jackson; sons, Aaron Martelli and wife, Claudia, John Benjamin Smith; daughter, Angela L. Smith; daughter-in-law, Cathy Sainz; sisters, Glenda Lou Bethune and husband, George, Joyce Shifflett; grandchildren, Anthony Ryan Martelli and Dylan Sainz.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Doctor Mark Bethune officiating. www.HayesFuneralHome.com
