BARBARA ANN SCHMITZ AGE: 63 TEXAS CITY Barbara Ann Schmitz, 63, of Texas City, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, at Mainland Medical Center, Texas City, TX. Mrs. Schmitz was born June 24, 1945, in Bronx, New York, to Edward and Dorothy O'Brein. Mrs. Schmitz had been a resident of Texas City for eight years. She was formerly of New Jersey. Mrs. Schmitz was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Schmitz. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Reading Qualls and husband Jim, of Washington Township, N.J.; one son, Matthew Reading and wife Joanne, of Santa Fe, TX; one sister, Pat Goodall and husband G.L., of Texas City; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held through James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations my be made to the Bay Area SPCA, League City, Texas 77573.
