HITCHCOCK — Tommye Kinney Valusek, 68, passed away Friday, February 20, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Valusek was born on October 28, 1935, in Minden, Louisiana to Thomas and Winnie Kinney. She was a resident of Hitchcock for over 48 years and an active member of Paul's Union Church, belonged to the Deborah Circle and was faithful to the Bible Study Group. Tommye fought a courageous battle with her illness, and always had a smile for you.
Mrs. Valusek is preceded in death by her parents and one nephew Eric Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Valusek of Hitchcock, Texas; one daughter Kelly Valusek of Texas City; one sister Nan Lewis; and one nephew, Micah Lewis.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas. Services will be Monday, February, 23, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Paul's Union Church in La Marque, with Brother Richard Baurs officiating.
