Nellois Strickland
May 24, 1932 - April 15, 2014

Nellois Strickland, beloved Matriarch and Servant of the Lord, has passed from this life after a long struggle with Alzheimers.

A celebration of her life service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Church of Christ at Borger.

She was born to William and Lois Jackson on May 24, 1932 in Stephenville, Texas. She was raised and attended high school in Levelland, Texas where she was crowned Homecoming Queen in her senior year.

Nellois married Horace Strickland in 1954. Horace preceded her in death, August 2. 1990.

Nellois owned and operated Lois's Laundry in Tahoka and managed the Dairy Queen in Fritch, Dimmit and Glen Rose. She was a faithful and productive member of the Church of Christ at Borger for many years.

Nellois is survived by her son, Randy Strickland of Fritch; her daughter, LaNita and husband Bill Huth of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sisters: Mary Grace Greenlee of Alpharetta, Georgia, Billie Strickland of Lubbock, and Gayle Miller of Lubbock; two brothers: Waymon Jackson and Raymon Jackson both of Levelland, Texas; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Nellois was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie; two sisters, Dot Riley and Avis Morrow; and a brother, Wayne Jackson.
