*Obituary
HITCHCOCK —Leroy Fontenot of Hitchcock arrived on this earth February 18, 1916 as the oldest of 14 children born to Felix and Celestine Valery Fontenot in Arcadia Parish, Louisiana. He passed from this life November 23, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Fontenot, a retired Longshoreman, is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laura; and eight siblings. He is survived by his four children, three step-daughters, five siblings; his dedicated companion and caregivers, Betty J. Thomas and her sons; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 30th at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque. Home Going Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church, 6333 Highway 6 in Hitchcock with Pastor W. L. Randall, Jr., officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock.www.mainlandfhlamarque.com
