Henry Judson "Jud" Hetkes, 81, of Texas City, passed away Friday, April 9, 2004, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Brother George Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hetkes was born September 12, 1922 in Galveston, Texas. He was a retired supervisor for Amoco. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Louise Hetkes, of Texas City; sons Cliff Hetkes of Texas City, Ronnie Manning of Euless, Texas and Bobby Manning of Hallsville; daughters Judy Korchinsky of Dickinson, Sharon Hall of Alabama, Debby Hetkes of Galveston, Jaynell Breward of Bacliff, Jamie Moore of Laneville and Virginia Ramey of Deer Park; sister June Binar of La Marque; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildlren; other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jayson Breward, Forrest Leader, Harry J. Binar, Bobby Manning, Ronnie Manning, and Keith Simpson.
