Services for Joe W. Felty, 78, of Woodrow will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Burkhalter, pastor of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.

Felty died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in Bender Terrace Nursing Home.

He was born March 11, 1919, in Leonard. He married Jean Davis on Oct. 15, 1938, in Wolfe City. He was a member of Cooper United Methodist Church, and he was a former member of the official board of the church.

He was a farmer. He moved to Woodrow in 1946.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe R. of Dallas and Ronnie of Lubbock; three sisters, Theda Nelson of Tahlequah, Okla., Frankie Jackson of Celeste and Margaret Grissom of Leonard; two brothers, Bob Felty of Waxahachie and Jimmy Felty of Wolfe City; and two grandsons.

Services for Imogene "Jean" Felty, 77, of Woodrow will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Franklin-Bartley Chapel with the Rev. Rick Burkhalter officiating.

Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.

She died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at St. Mary Hospital.

She was born June 10, 1921, in Wolfe City. She married Joe W. Felty Oct. 15, 1938, in Wolfe City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1998.

She lived in the Woodrow Community for the past 51 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cooper United Methodist Church. She played basketball for Wolfe City High School and enjoyed painting and needlework.

She was a three-time survivor of breast cancer.

Survivors include two sons, Joe R. Felty of Dallas and Ronnie Felty of Lubbock; and two grandsons, Joe Trey Felty of Dallas and Joe Dan Felty of Lubbock.
