Diana Newberry, died Dec. 28, 2008, at Hospice House in Odessa, finally losing her battle with Glioblastoma, after amazing the medical community with a seven year fight.

Diana was born June 18, 1964, in Brownfield, to Tom and Judy Gorby, and graduated from Brownfield High School. She married Bobby Newberry on Oct. 18, 1986. They had two daughters, Brandi Nicole, age 13, and Brittany Ann, age nine. They have resided in Monahans, for the past 22 years, except for a short period of time when they lived in Midland. She was formerly employed by First National Bank, of Monahans, and Jack Sherman Chevrolet, in Odessa. She has been a full time wife and mother since the birth of her first child. She loved her family, friends, being a homemaker, movies, cards and board games.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Newberry, of Monahans; daughters, Brandi and Brittany Newberry, both of Monahans; parents, Tom and Judy Gorby, of Brownfield; and sister, Pam Young, of Greenwood.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Monahans, with Reverend Josh Stowe officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Harkey Family Funeral Services of Monahans.

Donations may be made to Hospice, The American Cancer Association, or the charity of your choice.
