Margaret Irene Loyd Burns was born August 1, 1923. She went to be with the Lord and Savior on November 6, 2013.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lloyd Burns of Amarillo. She is also survived by sons Ray (Donnell) Burns of Houston, David (Cindy) Burns of Amarillo, Marvin (Becky) Burns of San Antonio and a sister Alice Kirk of Redondo Beach, California.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard Burns, her parents Roland and Bessie Loyd, brothers Kenneth, Lewis, Donald, David and sisters Mary Louise Loyd and Geneva Loyd Lindsey.
Margaret was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Aaron Burns, Chad Burns, Whitney Robinson, Allison Askew, Matt Burns, Andrew Burns, and David Burns. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held at Brown's Funeral Home in Borger on Friday, November 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church (of which she and her husband were founding members) in Borger.
