BORGER - Funeral services for Egbert F. Copeland, 70, who died Monday afternoon in North Plains Hospital, will be announced by Minton Mortuary of Borger.
Mr. Copeland was born Feb. 26, 1899, in Metropolis, Ill., and came to Borger in 1929. He was a retired jeweler and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He had suffered a long illness prior to his death.
Survivors include his wife, Clarice, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Jerry Chandler of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. Tom Heaton of Clydesdale, Ark., and Mrs. Warner Scott of Union City, Tenn.

BORGER - Funeral services for Egbert F. Copeland, 70, were to be at 2:30 today in the First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Carlton Thomson, pastor, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Copeland, a retired jeweler, died Monday in North Plains Hospital.
Survivors include his wife and three sisters.

Clarice Marie Copeland, 90, Borger, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995 in North Plains Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Archie Echols, pastor and Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
A native of Paragould, Ark., she had been a Borger resident since 1929. She was a piano teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and she played the organ for First United and Wesley United Methodist Church for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Egbert F. Copeland in 1970.
She is survived by two nephews including Bob Knight of Borger; and a niece.
