Edd Hanford Gipson, 85, of Vega, died Monday, Sept. 27, in Heritage Convalescent Center in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Gipson was a native of Oklahoma and a Vega resident for eight years. He was a retired pumper and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jaquetta Ryder, in 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Gipson of Vega and Kim Gipson of Dallas; one daughter, Patsy Criswell of Chugiak, Alaska; two sisters, Juanita Gage of Whitharral and Inez Brown of Ft. Worth; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

MEMPHIS - Opal Lee Childress Gipson, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with the Rev. Jimmy Gilmore officiating. Arrangements are by Hughs Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gipson was born March 14, 1915, in Quail. She married E.H. Gipson on Nov. 19, 1932.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Gipson of Vega and Kim Gipson of Memphis; a daughter, Patsy Criswell of Iowa Park; a brother, Joe Childress of Fritch; a sister, Ellen Anthony of Memphis; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
