November 26, 1928 - July 2, 2014

Lou Hatfield, 85 of Borger died July 2nd in Borger. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday July 5th at Faith Covenant Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday July 3rd at the Funeral Home.

Lou was born November 26, 1928 in Weinert, Texas to James and Willie Rainey Swailes. She was a medical clerk at Maloney-Hogan Hospital in Big Spring, TX for ten years. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo. She loved to read books , mostly novels, her bible every day. She was very active in church conferences where she was a Delegate for West Texas Methodist.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Hatfield and a sister Wanda Bibby.

The Family wants to say thank you to Caprock Nursing and Rehabilitation and Hospice Care of the Southwest.

Lou is survived by her sons Richard of Amarillo, Rand and wife Becky of Borger, Larry and wife Shelah of Nevada. Seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Boys Ranch.
