Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Mrs. Mayes died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at North Plains Hospital. She had been a resident of Borger for the past 42 years and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Mayes Sr. of the home; three sons, R.C. Mayes Jr. and Jim Cox, both of Borger; Truman Cox of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Morrow and Mrs. Barbara Brown, both of Borger; one sister, Mrs. Martina Chambless of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
