*Obituary
Mrs. Esther Eva Newport, 81, died Friday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock in Fritch.
She was the mother of Mrs. Winola C. Lee, postmaster of Fritch, who is the only survivor. Mrs. Newport came to Fritch 23 years ago from Helena, Okla. She was born in Bethel, Ohio in 1872. Mrs. Newport was a member of the Christian church of Howard, Kans.
Final rites will be Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel of the Minton Funeral home in Borger. The Rev. W.T. Conner pastor of the Fritch First Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be in the local cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Louie Beaver, Bob Wright, Howard Davis, W.H. Jenkins, Jack Hailey, and Olin R. Cranfill. Honorary pallbearers include Hugh Anderson, Bill Gibbs, Harold Thompson, Walter Gibson, Ollie Metzer, and Buddy Ford.
