BORGER - Archie Frank Newsom Jr., 87, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Highland Park Cemetery with Dr. James Berry, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Newsom was born on June 5, 1917, in Greene County, Tenn. He was an electrician in construction.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Ingram of Borger; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Edna Inez Newsom, 69, Borger, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992 in her home.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Berry, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was by Minton-Chatwell funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Henryetta, Okla., she had been a Borger resident for 48 years, and was a member of Church of God 7th Day.

She married Archie Newsom Oct. 18, 1945 in Borger.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Ingram of Borger; three brothers, Leon Waugh of Eugene, Ore.; Joseph Waugh of Independence, Mo.; and Bennie Waugh of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Dean Cheatham of Tampa, Fla.; Virginia Brewer and Jean Trammell, both of Borger; and Jackie Womble of Morse; and two grandchildren.
