Estelle B. Schmittou, 92, a lifetime Paducah resident passed away
Sunday June 14, 2009 in Abilene,TX.
Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00pm Monday June 15, 2009
at the Paducah Garden of Memories Cemetery with Pastor Brett
Hoffman officiating. Family visitation will be prior to service
at Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah.
Estelle was born in Cottle County on Sept 2, 1916 to James and Odie Lee
(Redfearn) Bowden. She received her early education in the PISD and put
herself through Beauty College and Practical Nursing School.
Estelle married Roy Schmittou in her youth and he died in car accident
during their first year together. She was a member of the Baptist Church in
Fort Worth, TX and a member of the Rebecca Logde for many years.
Her passion and favorite pass time was crocheting, but she was best known
locally for her garage sales and shelling pecans for any and everyone.
Estelle was a self motivated and self made woman that looked at life
on the bright side. She had a smile and sense of humor that could
brighten the saddest of moments.
