Emma May Fletcher was born to Jasper/Armstead Fletcher and Eliza Fletcher in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri on June 8, 1869.
In 1889, she married David Allison Carroll at Sedgwick, Kansas. They are the parents of Maude Carroll Gilliam, Dewitt Oswald Carroll and Porter Patrick Carroll.
On September 21, 1903, Emma married William Joseph Turk in Brazoria County, Texas. They had two children; Stringfellow Turk and Emma Turk. Mr. Turk was previously married in 1900 to Willie Emma Barnes.
Mrs. Turk died on February 19, 1949 in Velasco, Brazoria County, Texas at the age of 80.
