Dorothy Watkins, 67 of Abilene died Friday, November 25, 2005. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, Texas with Dr. Paul Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St. Ms. Watkins was born May 21, 1938 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to James and Jewell English. She was raised in Lelia Lake, Texas where she attended school. In 1955, she married Robert Thomas Watkins, Sr. in Borger, Texas. He preceded her in death in June of 1996. She worked as a dietician at North Plains Nursing Center before moving to Abilene in 1991.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Alan Barnett, one brother, one sister and two great- grand- children.

She is survived by one daughter; Betty McCurdy and husband J. D. of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. One son; Robert Watkins, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Borger, Texas. One sister, Faye Williamson and husband Fred of Odessa, three brothers; Doyce English and wife Florence of Potosi, Bill English and wife Lois of Abilene and Jim English and wife Jamie of Buffalo Gap. Six grand- children and six great- grandchildren.
