Maude Warren Yungblut, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, in her home in Borger.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Jones, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Greensburg, La., she had been a Borger resident since 1935, having moved here from Amite, La. She was a retired librarian for Frank Phillips College and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was also a member of Hutchinson County Republican Women. She attended the 1996 State Convention of TFRW and received recognition.

Mrs. Yungblut was past president of both the Borger 20th Century Club and Friends of the Library, past director of Cedar Canyon Methodist Church Camp, member of Texas Parent Teacher's Association, Girls 4H leadership and Plemons Cub Scout Leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Yungblut, in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Gary Cline Yungblut of Abilene; a daughter, Rogenna Hanson of Paradise, Calif.; two brothers, Wilton Warren of Chalmette, La. and Alton Warren of Roseland, La.; a sister, Hazel Cutrer of Amite, La.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Crown of Texas Hospice or to the Gulf Division of the Hutchinson County Museum.

Casket bearers were Oscar Doughty, Dennis Holt, Danny Flannagan, Mark Wislicenus, Pat Harvey, Scott Yungblut, Casey Kidwell and Swede Hanson.

Honorary casket bearers were Howard Aylor, Johnny Keifer and John Haworth.
