WHEELER - Funeral services for Mrs. Nelle Bly Ashley, 83, of Borger, who was dead on arrival at 7:30 p.m. Friday at North Plains Hospital in Borger, will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Wheeler Church of Christ.
Marion McWilliams, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ashley had been making her home with a daughter in Borger. Before that she had lived in Amarillo since 1943. Born in Cleburne, she came to the Wheeler area in 1909.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by six daughters; Mrs. Jesse Moore of Wheeler, Mrs. Edith Smith of Amarillo, Mrs. Jack Guynes of Borger, Mrs. James T. Green of Abilene, Mrs. Joan Thornberry of Amarillo and Mrs. Barbara Bates of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Cressa Scott and Mrs. Lily Tipps, both of Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
