WHEELER - Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Wheeler Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Dora Isabel Cook, 85. She died in the Wheeler hospital after being ill several months.
Rev. Keith McCormick, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Wheeler, will officiate. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook was born May 18, 1883 in Booneville, Miss. and had lived in Wheeler for 62 years before her death.
Surviving are eight daughters: Mrs. Tommy Cummings, Mrs. Scherry Hardin of Borger; Mrs. Loleta Byars, Pampa; Mrs. Mary Finsterwald, Wheeler; Mrs. Minnie Henderson and Mrs. Geneva Wilson, both of Wichita Falls; Mrs. Syble Badgley, Sherman; Mrs. Lillian Gressett and Mrs. Fern Murrell, both of Canyon; two sons, J.F. Cook, Jr., Hurley, N.M. and John B. Cook, Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, 39 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
